FAQs

What Women Returners ask us?

FAQs on this course
General FAQs

I have submitted my application. What next?

Your CV  & application form will be reviewed within 3 working days and we will call you to review your application.

How do I know if I have been successful?

Having reviewed your CV and discussed your application with you, all suitable applicants will have their CVs & application forms shared with participating companies and go through a selection process. If you are selected for interview by a participating company, Digital Skillnet will notify you.

I was not successful at interview, what happens next?

Unfortunately we will not be able to offer you a place on ReBOOT, however that is not the end! We endeavour to get useful, actionable feedback for all participants who have taken part in the process. In the past women who have not secured a work placement on one programme often go on to secure one on a later programme. We are here to support you in your journey back to tech and will do our best to help you.

I have been successful at interview, what next?

Congratulations! The Digital Skillnet team will get working on onboarding you onto the upcoming ReBOOT programme.

Who are the participating companies?

We are delighted to say that many of the best and most innovative companies in Ireland take part in ReBOOT. Previous participating companies include WorkHuman, Dell, Optum Technology, Bank of Ireland & FINEOS, Bearing Point Technologies, Guidewire Software, the ESB, Storm Technologies, AIB, JPM Chase and Datalex etc. We are onboarding participating companies all the time and expecting more to be announced over the upcoming weeks.

Who sees my CV?

Your CV is reviewed by the Digital Skillnet team and participating companies.

What format do the interviews take?

The interviews are between you and the company. In advance of the interview taking place the company will do an informal group interview preparation session with the potential participants. This normally takes the format of a short 30 minute Zoom session where they outline what to expect in the upcoming interview.  You will also be able to ask questions of the company at this stage.

The interview is to determine where it is best for you to do your work placement.

Your interview will be organised directly by the company and will also be virtual. If you are successful and offered a work placement you will be allocated a place on ReBOOT. Unfortunately if you have not been successful with a work placement then we will not be able to offer you a place on ReBOOT. We would encourage you to apply again though to a later programme.

Where does Technology Ireland Digital Skillnet funding come from?

Technology Ireland DIGITAL Skillnet receives funding on an annual basis under the Training Networks Programme from Skillnet Ireland, the enterprise-led training agency. This allows the network to provide courses at a lower cost than commercial training courses – while still being delivered by the highest quality experts and trainers.

Over the last 3 years the Digital Skillnet has been awarded subsidies in excess of €2 million to support companies by significantly lowering the cost, and increasing the effectiveness of, organisational development strategies. The specific levels of subsidy for companies are allocated on a course-by-course basis.

What is Technology Ireland Digital Skillnet?

Established in 2010, Technology Ireland Digital Skillnet (“Digital Skillnet”) is the national training network for Ireland's Digital Technology sector. Our mission is to enable workforce development, performance and competitiveness for companies and their workforce through innovative upskilling solutions, backed by government funding. We support companies in all sectors to accelerate digital capacity, transformation and strategic innovation.

Member companies include a combination of indigenous organisations and multinational foreign direct investment (FDI) firms.

The Network Sponsor is Technology Ireland, a federation within Ibec, the Irish Business and Employers Confederation (www.ibec.ie). Our upskilling initiatives are co-funded by the Government of Ireland, the European Union through the European Social Fund ESF+ and Network Companies.

How can Digital Skillnet help companies to fund their training needs?

Technology Ireland Digital Skillnet receives government funding. This allow us to provide support on course fees so that companies incur lower costs than commercial training courses.

Through the network, we also use our combined buying power to achieve the best training rates from providers.

Subsidised fees for network members are shown on our training schedule. These are the costs after funding support from the network.
Typical savings of 40-60% for companies through DIGITAL Skillnet

To access subsisidised course fees companies can join the network. Network membership is free and is open to all enterprises in the Republic of Ireland.
